Is the 2nd Gen worth it over the original QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds?

The 2nd Gen adds a wireless charging case and a refined fit kit with three stability-band sizes, plus Cinema Mode. If you already own the first generation and charge by cable, the upgrade is modest; if you are buying new, the 2nd Gen is the better pick.

How is the noise cancellation compared with AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM5?

Bose's Quiet Mode is widely rated at or near the top for blocking low-frequency noise like engine rumble. Sony's WF-1000XM5 offers more codec options and longer battery, and AirPods Pro integrates more tightly with Apple devices.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 6 hours per charge, or about 4 hours with Immersive Audio on. The case holds three full charges, so total listening is roughly 18 to 24 hours before you need a wall outlet.

Will they fit small ears?

The Fit Kit includes three eartip sizes and three stability-band sizes, giving nine combinations. Most buyers find a secure seal, but the earbuds are larger than some rivals, so try the smallest band and tip first.

The earbuds, a wireless charging case, three pairs of eartips (S, M, L), three pairs of stability bands (1, 2, 3), a 12-inch USB-C cable, and a safety sheet.

When is the best time to buy?

Bose earbuds typically see their deepest discounts around Black Friday and Prime Day. At $229 as of November 3, 2026, the price is at the high end, so waiting for a sale event is reasonable if you are not in a hurry.

Personalized In-Ear Cinema Sound

CustomTune technology analyzes how sound reaches your ears, then adjusts the audio and noise cancellation for your individual fit.
