Does the Sub 1 work with any PA system?

No. It is tuned for Bose L1 Pro8, Pro16 and Pro32 systems. Bose lists it as compatible with the L1 Pro32 and S1 Pro, but it is not a general-purpose sub for other brands.

Do I need a separate amplifier or crossover?

No. The Sub 1 has a built-in amplifier and SubMatch processing. You connect it to the L1 Pro and it handles crossover and level automatically.

Can I use more than one Sub 1?

Yes. Bose says multiple Sub 1 units can be paired with a single L1 Pro system for more output and deeper low end in larger venues.

What comes in the box?

The powered subwoofer, a 6.5-foot IEC power cord, a nylon cover, an owner's manual and a quickstart guide.

Does it stream audio over Bluetooth?

No. The Sub 1 takes line-level audio through its two combo XLR-1/4-inch inputs. Bluetooth is not a wireless audio path for this module.

The Sub 1 features a built-in, high-efficiency amplifier that requires no external power amplifier or crossover?simply connect it to your L1 Pro system and the Sub 1 handles everything automatically. Its compact, rectangular enclosure is designed to be placed beneath the L1 Pro's power base for a clean, integrated stage footprint, and the Sub 1's handles and manageable weight make it genuinely portable for solo performers and small touring crews.
