Our take on the Boss Office Products 66-inch U-Shape And 4-Door Hutch With File Pedestal And Hutch Mahogany

A 66-inch U-shape executive desk in mahogany finish, sold as a set with a four-door hutch and a file pedestal. The U-shape gives you a wide main work surface with side returns, and the hutch adds closed storage above the desk. It is a fixed-height desk, so plan your chair and monitor heights around the 30-inch surface. At $1,373.49 at Staples as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, with only two stores listing it new.

Best forHome offices that need a large L-to-U footprintBuyers who want matching desk, hutch and file storage in one setTraditional or executive-style roomsPeople storing binders and files out of sight
Pros
  • Large 66 x 30-inch work surface with side returns for a true U-shape
  • Hutch with four doors hides clutter and adds vertical storage
  • File pedestal included, so no separate filing cabinet needed
  • Mahogany finish suits traditional offices
  • Matching set means consistent color and trim across pieces
Cons
  • Fixed height, no adjustability for sitting or standing use
  • Assembly of a multi-piece set takes time and usually two people
  • Solid wood-look laminate can show scratches and edges over years
  • Deep U-shape needs a large room, roughly 8 x 8 feet of floor space
  • Heavy and awkward to move once built

Questions and answers

Is this desk height adjustable?
No. The work surface is fixed at about 30 inches, which suits most standard office chairs. If you want standing height, this is not the right desk.
What is included in the set?
You get the U-shape desk, a four-door hutch that mounts on top, and a file pedestal with a retractable drawer. It is one bundled product, not sold as separate pieces here.
How much floor space does a 66-inch U-shape desk need?
Plan for roughly 66 inches wide by 30 inches deep for the main section, plus the side returns. Leave extra room behind the chair to roll in and out.
Is the mahogany finish real wood?
It is a mahogany-color finish over engineered wood, typical of office furniture in this class. Expect a laminate surface rather than solid mahogany.
Is $1,373.49 a good price?
It is the best new price found as of November 7, 2026, but it sits near the top of the recent range and only two stores list it new. Compare both listings before buying.
Does the hutch fit on the desk without drilling?
The hutch is designed for this desk and attaches to the top. Follow the included instructions; expect some drilling or hardware mounting during assembly.
Where is the Boss Office Products 66-inch U-Shape And 4-Door Hutch With File Pedestal And Hutch Mahogany cheapest?
At Staples, for $1,373.49, as of our latest check.
