Our take on the Bradington-Young Leather Reclining Loveseat

The Nicoletta is a two-seat power reclining loveseat from Bradington-Young, built with a spring-down seat cushion, a semi-attached back and an articulating power headrest. It comes in hundreds of leather and fabric choices, and any wood finish can be ordered at no extra cost. It is a made-to-order piece, so expect a build lead time rather than same-week delivery. No current price was provided, so check the store page for the latest quote.

Best forCouples who want two powered recliners in one compact footprintBuyers who want a leather loveseat matched to their room's wood finish
People with back or neck issues who want an adjustable headrest
Rooms where the sofa sits close to a wall
Pros
  • Full recline with a zero wall clearance, so it can sit flush against the wall
  • Articulating power headrest adjusts neck support independently of the back
  • Spring-down seat cushion resists flattening better than plain foam
  • Hundreds of leather and fabric options, with any wood finish at no upcharge
  • Seat is 46 inches wide, roomy for two adults
Cons
  • 175 lb and 50.5 inches wide, so it needs a wide door path and a two-person delivery
  • Made to order, so lead times run weeks to months
  • Battery pack for the power button costs extra
  • Leather and power mechanisms mean a higher price than fabric manual recliners
  • Only 21 inches of seat depth, which is shallow for tall users

Questions and answers

Is the Nicoletta worth the price over a mass-market recliner?
It uses a spring-down seat, an articulating power headrest and your choice of leather at no extra finish cost, which mass-market loveseats rarely offer. Whether that is worth it depends on how long you plan to keep it; the frame and cushion are built for a long life.
Does it need space behind it to recline?
No. The distance from wall to recline is listed as zero, so it can sit against the wall. The full recline length is 69 inches, so leave clearance in front.
Can I get it in a different wood finish?
Yes. Mahogany is standard, and any Bradington-Young wood finish can be ordered at no additional cost.
What is the difference between the standard power button and the battery pack?
The standard version plugs into a wall outlet. The battery pack power button is an upcharge and lets you place the loveseat without an outlet nearby.
Will it fit through my door?
It is 50.5 inches wide and 175 lb, so measure your doorways and stair turns before ordering. A two-person delivery is realistic for this weight.
When is the best time to buy?
Custom-order furniture rarely gets deep discounts, but holiday sales and floor-model clearances are the usual windows. Compare quotes across stores, since pricing on made-to-order pieces varies.
