Is the Briggs & Riley Baseline Large Expandable Spinner worth $929?

If you check a bag often and value the lifetime guarantee, which covers airline damage repair, the price can pay off over many years. For occasional travel, a cheaper bag is a better fit.

How much extra space does the expansion add?

Expanding the bag adds about 2 inches of depth, taking capacity from roughly 84 liters to about 106 liters. That is enough for several days of extra clothing.

No. At 28 inches tall and 20 inches wide, it is a checked bag. It will not fit in most overhead bins.

How much does it weigh?

It weighs 11.7 lb empty. That leaves less room under airline weight limits once packed.

What does the lifetime guarantee cover?

Briggs & Riley's guarantee covers repair of damage from airline handling, along with defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear is handled as repairs rather than replacement.
