Our take on the Burrow Nomad Loveseat with Chaise

The Burrow Nomad Loveseat with Chaise is a modular fabric sofa with a wood frame, sloped arms, tufted seat cushions and a pillow back, sold in a Sienna upholstery. It ships flat in boxes and assembles with Burrow's latch system, so it can be taken apart and moved or reconfigured. The chaise makes it a small-space sectional for one or two people. Burrow sells direct, so pricing is set by Burrow rather than by competing stores.

Best forSmall living rooms and apartmentsOne or two people who want a chaise without a full sectionalRenters who move often and need a sofa that comes apartBuyers who want a modular sofa they can add to later
Pros
  • Modular design assembles and disassembles with latches, no tools
  • Flat-pack shipping fits through narrow doors and stairs
  • Chaise adds lounge seating in a compact footprint
  • Wood frame and tufted cushions give a tailored look
  • Pillow back cushions can be repositioned or replaced
Cons
  • Direct-to-consumer pricing leaves little room for store discounts
  • Fabric upholstery needs care with spills and pets
  • Flat-pack assembly means more setup time than a delivered sofa
  • Chaise limits how the piece fits against walls and doorways
  • Long-term durability of a modular frame is a question for heavy use

Questions and answers

Is the Burrow Nomad Loveseat with Chaise worth it?
It suits shoppers who value a modular sofa that ships flat and can be moved or expanded. If you want a plush, deep sofa or the lowest price per seat, a conventional sofa may fit better.
How does it compare with the Nomad sofa without a chaise?
The chaise version adds a lounge section on one side, so it seats fewer people per foot of wall space but gives you a place to stretch out. The standard Nomad sofa seats more upright.
Does it come with tools or assembly instructions?
Burrow's latch system is designed for tool-free assembly, and the boxes include the parts and instructions. Plan on some time for setup, especially the first time.
Can I add pieces later?
Yes. The Nomad line is modular, so you can add matching seats or a chaise from Burrow if the line is still sold. Check current availability before relying on expansion.
What is the Sienna fabric like to clean?
Sienna is a fabric upholstery, so blot spills promptly and follow Burrow's care guidance. It is not a performance fabric, so pets and dark drinks need attention.
When is the best time to buy?
Burrow sells direct, so watch for Burrow's own seasonal sales and bundle offers rather than store markdowns. Compare the current price with Burrow's recent sale prices before buying.
