Questions and answers

Is the Bushnell 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent worth it?
For car campers who value a fast setup and a large, tall interior, yes. At $229.99 at Academy Sports + Outdoors as of November 3, 2026, it costs more than basic dome tents but saves time at camp. Skip it if you need a light backpacking tent.
How long does setup take?
Bushnell rates Instant Setup Technology at about 60 seconds. The frame is pre-attached, so you unfold it, extend the poles, and stake it down.
Does it really sleep nine people?
It fits nine people only with sleeping bags side by side. For comfortable sleeping with gear, plan on five to seven people, or use the divider for two smaller groups.
How does it handle rain?
It has fully taped seams, water-repellent fabric, and a coated rainfly. It is a three-season tent, so it handles steady rain but not heavy snow or extreme weather.
What comes in the box?
The tent, rainfly, eight heavy-duty tie-downs, and a carry bag. Stakes for the corners are typically included with the tie-downs.
