Is this kit good for a beginner?

Yes. Partial coverage and round drills are the easiest combination for a first diamond painting, and 592 drills is a short project.

What does partial coverage mean?

Only part of the printed design gets drills. The rest stays as the printed picture, so the canvas looks less sparkly than a full-coverage kit but takes far less time.

The kit is rated for ages 6 and up. The drills are small, so keep it away from children under 3.

A diamond painting kit of this type typically includes the printed canvas, the round drills, a tray and a pen or applicator. Check the listing for the exact contents.

Is $26.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 8, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it to. Compare it against other kids' partial-coverage kits of similar size before buying.

Our take on the Camelot Dotz Diamond Painting Kit

A partial-coverage diamond painting kit with 592 round drills and an animal theme, aimed at kids 6 and up. The drills cover only part of the design, so it finishes faster than a full-coverage canvas. At $26.99 at Amazon as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.
