Our take on the Camping Tent Person Family Tent

This is a two-room cabin-style family tent sold in 6, 8 and 12 person capacities and marketed as a four-season tent. It comes in seven colors and is priced low for its size. The best new price is $97.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no price history to compare against. Its 1.6 out of 5 rating from 7 buyers is a serious warning sign.

Pros
  • Low price for a multi-room, high-capacity tent
  • Two rooms give some separation from kids or gear
  • Cabin shape offers standing headroom
  • Sold in 6, 8 and 12 person sizes
  • Seven color choices
Cons
  • 1.6 out of 5 from 7 ratings is very poor
  • Only one store sells it, so no price competition
  • A four-season claim at this price is hard to trust
  • Large cabin tents are heavy and slow to pitch
  • No brand name given, so warranty support is unclear

Questions and answers

Is this tent worth buying?
Be cautious. A 1.6 out of 5 rating from 7 buyers is one of the lowest scores you will see, and the $97.99 Walmart price as of November 3, 2026 reflects that. It suits fair-weather car camping at best, not serious weather.
Is it really a four-season tent?
Treat that claim skeptically. At this price, with no brand name and poor buyer ratings, it is unlikely to handle snow load or heavy wind. For winter use, buy a tent from an established brand with a tested four-season design.
How many people fit in each size?
The 6, 8 and 12 person figures are maximum sleeping capacities, so plan on fewer for comfort and gear. A two-room layout helps, but a 12 person tent of this type will be very large and heavy to pitch.
What is included in the box?
The listing does not detail contents beyond the tent itself. Expect poles, stakes and a carry bag, but confirm with Walmart before ordering, since cheap tents sometimes ship without a footprint or rainfly details.
When is the price lowest?
Only one store lists it new, so there is little price movement to track. The current $97.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026 is the only new price recorded, and end-of-season clearance is the most likely time for a cut.
Where is the Camping Tent Person Family Tent cheapest?
At Walmart, for $97.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Camping Tent Person Family Tent?
