Is the Alliston warm enough for real winter?

Yes. It is a heavyweight down puffer with a hood and thigh length, so it handles freezing commutes and travel in cold cities. Layer under it on the coldest days.

It has a relaxed fit, so it runs roomier than a slim puffer. Most buyers can take their usual size, but size down if you want a closer cut.

Can I pack it for travel?

Yes. It is listed as packable, which is unusual for a thigh-length down coat. It compresses enough to fit in a suitcase.

How should I clean it?

Care instructions allow dry clean or machine wash. Use a down-safe wash and dry it thoroughly with dryer balls to restore loft.

Is it worth the price?

If you want one warm, packable coat for cold winters and travel, the high owner rating supports it. If you rarely face deep cold, a lighter puffer costs less.
