Is a pillowtop good for back pain?

The 5-zone coil layout adds support under the lumbar area, which helps some back-pain sleepers. The plush top is softer than a tight-top mattress, so very heavy sleepers may sink too far.

It uses gel foam, high-airflow foam, wool and a cooling cover, which helps compared with basic memory foam. A pillowtop adds surface softness but also some insulation.

Does it work with an adjustable base?

Yes, Canyon Bay lists it as adjustable-base compatible. Check the base's weight limit for a queen.

Pillowtop queens run thicker than standard, so use deep-pocket sheets sized for mattresses around 14 to 16 inches.

Our take on the Canyon Bay Ultra Pillowtop Queen Mattress

The Canyon Bay Ultra Pillowtop is a queen pillowtop mattress built on a pocketed-coil core: 860-density 4-in-1 coils, a 5-zone firm-and-plush layout, gel foam and a breathable wool layer under a cooling cover. It is aimed at sleepers who want a soft, cushioned top with coil support underneath, and it works on an adjustable base. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison before buying.
