Is the Carote 21-piece set worth it?

For a starter kitchen or a small space, yes: you get pots, pans, lids and tools that work on induction for one low price. If you cook daily and want pans that last years, a smaller set of heavier fixed-handle cookware is a better spend.

Do the detachable handles feel secure?

They lock on for cooking and release for serving and storage. Some owners report needing to re-tighten them, so check the attachment before lifting a full pot.

Can I use these pans in the oven?

The pans are oven-safe with the handle removed, which is the point of the detachable design. Do not put the handles or lids in the oven unless the maker states they are oven-safe.

Does it work on induction cooktops?

Yes. The base is induction-compatible and also works on gas, electric, ceramic and halogen.

Is the cookware dishwasher safe?

Yes, the set is dishwasher safe. Hand washing still extends the life of the nonstick coating.

When is the price lowest?

Set prices on this kind of cookware usually dip during Black Friday, back-to-school and end-of-season kitchen sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.
