Is the Carote 33-piece set worth it?

It is a good value if you need many pieces at once and accept that ceramic nonstick is a wear item. Expect to replace the most-used pans within a year or two of daily cooking.

Is the ceramic coating PFAS-free?

Yes. Carote markets the coating as free of PFOA and PFAS, which is the main reason buyers pick ceramic over traditional nonstick.

Can I use metal utensils on it?

No. Use silicone, wood or plastic utensils. Metal will scratch the ceramic coating and speed up the loss of nonstick release.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Hand washing is recommended. Dishwasher detergent and heat wear down ceramic coatings faster, so wash by hand to extend the set's life.

Does it work on induction cooktops?

Check the base of each piece before buying. Die-cast aluminum pans need a magnetic base to work on induction, and not every piece in a set like this is induction-ready.

When is the price lowest?

Large cookware sets usually drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and back-to-school sales. Compare the per-piece price against buying the pans you actually use separately.

Our take on the Carote 33-Piece Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set

The Carote 33-Piece Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set is a large kitchen starter kit built on die-cast aluminum bodies with a ceramic nonstick coating and Bakelite handles. The piece count covers pots, pans, lids and utensils, so it outfits a first kitchen or replaces a mismatched collection in one buy. Ceramic nonstick is free of PFOA and PFAS, but it loses its release over time faster than PTFE coatings. It holds a 4.2 out of 5 average from 81 ratings.
