Our take on the CARPRO EliXir Quick Detailer

CARPRO EliXir is a spray-on quick detailer that adds gloss and a slick, hydrophobic layer in one pass. It is aimed at coated and uncoated paint and glass, and CARPRO says it is safe in direct sunlight. The 500 ml bottle is $35.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, the only new price listed.

Best forCoated-car owners topping up gloss and beading between washesQuick wipe-downs after rain or dustUse in direct sun where other sprays streakGlass and paint in one bottle
Pros
  • Adds noticeable gloss and depth in one spray pass
  • Strong water beading that CARPRO says lasts weeks
  • Safe to use in direct sunlight
  • Works on paint and glass
  • Fast to apply, so it fits a maintenance wash
Cons
  • $35.99 for 500 ml is high for a quick detailer
  • Unscented, so no fragrance payoff
  • Not a substitute for a coating or wax
  • One store listing means little price competition

Questions and answers

Is EliXir worth it over a cheaper quick detailer?
If you already run CARPRO coatings, EliXir is built to top them up and adds strong beading. On a bare, uncoated car a cheaper detailer will do most of the same cleaning job.
Can I use it in direct sunlight?
Yes. CARPRO lists it as safe in direct sun, which is unusual for a spray detailer. Still work one panel at a time and buff before it dries.
Does it work on glass?
Yes, CARPRO lists glass alongside paint. It leaves glass slick and beading, but it is not a glass cleaner, so clean first.
How long does the protection last?
CARPRO says weeks, not months. Expect it to fade faster than a spray sealant, and reapply after washes.
What is in the box?
A 500 ml spray bottle. CARPRO's listing also mentions a microfiber cloth and a final-wipe towel, so check the listing before ordering if you need those.
When is it cheapest?
The only new price listed is $35.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026. With one store listing, watch for seasonal sales rather than expecting a price war.
Where is the CARPRO EliXir Quick Detailer cheapest?
At Walmart, for $35.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the CARPRO EliXir Quick Detailer?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 639 ratings.
Where can I buy the CARPRO EliXir Quick Detailer?
12 stores we checked sell it, including Walmart, eBay, Areté Auto Salon, AutoGeek.net, DTLR Supply.
