Our take on the Casely iPhone Case Wild West Adventure

The Casely Wild West Adventure is a slim protective case for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, sold mainly on its printed western-themed design and drop protection. It is a fashion case first: the print is the draw, and the protection is rated for everyday knocks rather than heavy-duty use. Casely sells these at full price around $40 to $50, with frequent sitewide sales; the best recent prices have run well below list during promotions.

Best foriPhone 12 Pro Max owners who want a printed, personality caseShoppers who change cases often and want a low-cost optionLight everyday use: pockets, bags, desk drops
Pros
  • Distinct western print that stands out from plain cases

  • Large review base with a 4.7 average
Cons
  • Protection is modest for a case this price at list
  • Print can wear or fade with heavy use

Questions and answers

Is it worth the price?
At a sale price it is a reasonable buy for the design. At full list it is priced like a premium case but protects like a basic one.
Does it fit the iPhone 12 Pro Max only?
Yes. It is cut for the 12 Pro Max, so it will not fit the 12, 12 Pro or 13 models.
Does it support wireless charging?
Yes, the slim shell works with Qi wireless charging and MagSafe chargers, though magnets are not built in.
How much drop protection does it offer?
It handles everyday drops with raised edges and a shock-absorbing shell, but it is not a rugged case for drops onto hard surfaces from height.
When is it cheapest?
Casely runs frequent sitewide sales and bundle deals, so the lowest prices usually come during holiday and back-to-school promotions rather than at launch.
What is in the box?
The case only. No screen protector or cable is included.
