Our take on the Chubbies Men's Swim Briefs

Chubbies Men's Swim Briefs are a short, fitted swim bottom in a polyester-spandex blend with a drawstring waist. The stretch fabric and brief cut suit lap swimming, water parks and anyone who wants minimal drag and coverage. At $27 at Chubbies as of November 4, 2026, they sit at the low end of what this style typically costs, and only two stores carry them new.

Pros
  • Stretch polyester-spandex moves with you in the water
  • Drawstring waist stays put during laps and dives

  • Low $27 price for a brand-name swim brief
  • Sizes run S through 2XL
Cons
  • Brief cut is not for everyone
  • Only two stores stock it new, so size availability is thin
  • Limited color and pattern choice compared with Chubbies' trunks
