Is the Civivi Praxis worth it at $47.50?

Yes, if you want a full-size flipper on a budget. At $47.50 on eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is near the bottom of its typical $45 to $60 range, and the action and G10 handle are strong for the money.

How does it compare with the Civivi Elementum?

The Praxis is bigger and heavier, with a 3.75-inch blade versus about 2.96 inches on the Elementum. Pick the Praxis for full-size work and the Elementum for lighter everyday carry.

What steel does the Praxis use, and is it good?

It uses 9Cr18MoV at 58-60 HRC. That is a dependable, corrosion-resistant steel that sharpens easily, but it will not hold an edge as long as S35VN or 14C28N.

Is the liner lock strong enough for hard use?

The liner lock is fine for normal cutting and utility tasks. It is not a hard-use lock, so avoid prying or heavy twisting.

What comes in the box?

The knife ships with the Praxis folder, a cleaning cloth and Civivi's usual packaging. A pouch or case is not standard on this model.

When is the Praxis cheapest?

Budget Civivi models tend to dip during holiday sales and store clearance events. The current $47.50 on eBay as of November 4, 2026 is already close to the floor for a new one.

Our take on the Civivi Praxis Flipper

The Civivi Praxis is a full-size folding flipper with a 3.75-inch satin 9Cr18MoV blade and a G10 handle over a liner lock. It weighs 4.42 oz and runs 8.45 inches open, so it carries like a full-size work knife rather than a light EDC. The flat grind and 58-60 HRC steel keep it easy to sharpen and tough enough for daily cutting. At $47.50 on eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its usual street range, where it typically sells for about $45 to $60.
