Our take on the Clarke Products Alexandria 72 x 36 Soaking Bathtub

The Clarke Products Alexandria is a 72 x 36 inch drop-in soaking tub made of glossy acrylic. Its size gives adults room to stretch out, and the reversible drain lets it fit either end of the alcove. It is a large tub at 100 lb, so plan for two people and a reinforced floor. The best new price is $1,049.99 at Wayfair as of November 6, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is $1,049.99 a good price for the Alexandria?
It is the only new price listed, $1,049.99 at Wayfair as of November 6, 2026. With one seller there is no recent range to compare it to, so check comparable 72-inch acrylic soaking tubs before deciding.
Will a 72 x 36 inch tub fit my bathroom?
Measure the rough opening and the deck first. At 72 x 36 inches it needs a full 6-foot alcove, and the drop-in rim adds a little to the footprint.
What does the reversible drain mean for installation?
The drain can go on either end, so you can match your existing plumbing or choose which side you enter from. Confirm the rough-in location with your plumber before ordering.
Is acrylic a good material for a soaking tub?
Acrylic holds water temperature well and is lighter than cast iron at 100 lb. It can flex underfoot, so set it in mortar or foam for a solid feel.
How deep is the soak?
The listing gives the 72 x 36 inch footprint but not the water depth. Ask the seller for the interior depth and overflow height if a deep soak matters to you.
What is in the box?
Expect the tub shell only. The drain, faucet and deck materials are usually sold separately, so budget for those.
Where is the Clarke Products Alexandria 72 x 36 Soaking Bathtub cheapest?
