Our take on the Cleveland Halo XL Hybrid

The Halo XL is Cleveland's most forgiving hybrid, built with a stainless steel head and a graphite shaft that carries an 8-gram counterweight in the grip. Cleveland claims the highest MOI in any of its hybrids, with a high launch and average spin that suit players who need help getting the ball up and keeping it straight. The stock 21° loft is a 3-hybrid replacement for long irons. At $129.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Best forMid- and high-handicap men replacing a 3- or 4-ironPlayers who want a high, straight ball flightGolfers with slower swing speeds who struggle to launch long ironsShoppers who want a counterbalanced feel in a hybrid
Pros
  • High MOI for a Cleveland hybrid, so off-center hits lose less distance
  • High launch helps slower swing speeds get the ball airborne
  • 8-gram counterweight in the grip promotes a smoother, more stable feel
  • Stainless steel head with a graphite shaft keeps it light at about 1.04 kg
  • Available in right- and left-handed models
Cons
  • Only one stock loft (21°) listed, so gapping options are limited
  • Stiff flex shaft may be too much for slower swingers
  • Average spin can cost stopping power on firm greens
  • Counterbalanced grip is a feel some players never adjust to

Questions and answers

Is the Cleveland Halo XL Hybrid worth it at $129?
At $129.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a forgiving current hybrid. It is the only new listing, so there is no cheaper new price to wait for right now.
What loft does the Halo XL come in?
The listed spec is 21°, which plays like a 3-hybrid and replaces a long iron. Check the listing for other lofts before you buy if you need a different gap.
Is the stiff shaft right for my swing speed?
The listed flex is stiff with a 60 g graphite shaft. Slower swingers and higher handicaps often do better with regular flex, so confirm the flex on the listing.
Does the counterweight in the grip change the swing weight?
Yes. The 8-gram weight in the butt end makes the head feel lighter and the club more stable through the swing. Some players like it; others find it dulls feel.
Is it available left-handed?
Yes, the Halo XL is offered in both right- and left-handed versions. Confirm handedness on the listing, since stock varies.
What is in the box?
You get the hybrid with the stock graphite shaft and rubber grip installed. Headcover inclusion is not stated, so ask the seller if it matters to you.
Where is the Cleveland Halo XL Hybrid cheapest?
