Is the Coleman Big Basin warm enough for 15°F?

The 15°F figure is a limit rating, so it assumes a sleeping pad and warm layers. Most campers will be comfortable closer to 25–30°F; below that, add a liner or extra layers.

How heavy and bulky is it?

It weighs about 8.2 lb and packs into an included stuff sack. That is fine for car camping but too heavy for most backpacking.

Will it fit a tall person?

Yes. It is built in a big-and-tall semi-rectangular cut, which gives tall and broad sleepers more shoulder and foot room than a standard mummy bag.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes, Coleman lists it as machine washable. Use a front-loading machine or a gentle cycle and tumble dry low to protect the fill.

Is $106.49 a good price?

It is the best new price among the 2 stores listing it as of November 5, 2026. That is a reasonable price for a big-and-tall 15°F bag; watch for seasonal markdowns in spring.
