Is the Columbia Street Heights Parka warm enough for winter?

Yes for typical city winters. The down fill plus a windproof shell handles cold and wind, but it is not a mountaineering parka for extreme cold.

Is it actually waterproof?

Columbia lists the shell as waterproof and windproof. Seams and the zipper are the usual weak points in any parka, so re-treat the fabric if water starts soaking in.

What sizes are available?

Listings show XL and XXL only. If you wear small through large, check other Columbia parkas.

Is $330 a good price?

It is the full list price at Columbia as of November 7, 2026, with only one store selling it new. Columbia outerwear often drops during seasonal sales, so waiting could save money.

How should I care for a down parka?

Wash it in a front-loading machine on a gentle cycle with down-specific detergent, then tumble dry low with dryer balls until fully dry. Avoid fabric softener.

Where is the Columbia Street Heights Parka cheapest?
