Our take on the Comfort Premier Adjustable Base

The Comfort Premier Adjustable Base is a motorized bed frame that raises the head and foot sections independently, with underbed lighting and a frame that adjusts from full height down to zero clearance. It is upholstered and does not need a box spring, but it ships unassembled. The best new price is $749.00 at Detroit Furniture as of November 4, 2026, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is no competing price to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the 135 lb weight capacity enough?
It is low for an adjustable base. Check the combined weight of your mattress and anyone who sleeps on it before buying; many adjustable bases are rated for several hundred pounds.
Does it need a box spring?
No. The base is designed to hold a mattress directly, so you can skip the box spring.
What does zero clearance mean here?
The frame height adjusts from full height down to zero clearance, so the base can sit low to the floor or be raised for storage and access underneath.
How much assembly is required?
Assembly is required. Plan for two people to move and put the frame together.
Is $749 a good price?
It is the only new price listed, $749.00 at Detroit Furniture as of November 4, 2026, so there is no lower competing offer to compare it with. Watch for a second store listing before assuming it is the floor.
What size mattress does it fit?
The frame measures 58.5 in wide by 78.63 in long, which points to a full or queen mattress. Confirm the size with the seller before ordering.
