Is it worth it compared with a regular hot air brush?

If you want volume and loose waves without holding a brush and dryer, the rotating barrel does the work for you. If you want tight curls or precise heat control, a curling iron or a multi-setting hot air brush suits you better.

Will it work on short hair?

It is best on medium to long hair, since the barrel needs length to wrap. On very short hair the rotation has little to grab and a small round brush works better.

Does it have a cool shot?

Yes. The cool shot sets the style after you finish a section, which helps volume hold longer.

How many heat settings does it have?

Two heat settings plus the cool shot. There is no fine temperature dial, so fine or damaged hair should use the lower setting.

What comes in the box?

The hot air brush with its brush head and a protective cover. The cord is attached; it is not cordless.

Hot air brushes like this tend to drop during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the Conair InfinitiPRO Spin Air Rotating Curling Iron

The Conair InfinitiPRO Spin Air is a hot air brush with a rotating round barrel that spins to wrap hair around it, so you get volume and curl without holding a curling iron. It has a ceramic, ionic and tourmaline-coated barrel, two heat settings, a cool shot to set the style, and nylon and boar bristles. It weighs about 1.3 lb and comes with a protective cover. It is a corded tool aimed at quick blowout-style volume rather than tight curls.
