Pros
  • Exact 75x36 size fits many RV bunks without trimming
  • 4-inch profile suits shallow bunk and slide-out spaces
  • High-density foam holds shape better than cheap poly foam
  • Medium firm feel supports side and back sleepers
  • Made in the USA, no assembly needed
Cons
  • Only 4 inches thick, so little cushioning for heavy adults
  • No coils or edge support; edges compress easily
  • Foam may smell for a few days after unboxing
  • Not a full-depth mattress for standard beds

Questions and answers

Is a 4-inch mattress thick enough for an adult?
For most adults under about 200 pounds it works as a bunk mattress, especially on a solid platform. Heavier sleepers will feel the base through it and may want 6 inches or more.
Will it fit a standard RV bunk?
It measures 75 by 36 inches, a common RV bunk and campervan size. Measure your bunk opening first, since some bunks are 74 or 80 inches long.
Does it need a box spring?
No. It is designed to sit on a flat, solid RV bunk or platform. A box spring would add height and defeat the low profile.
How long before the foam smell goes away?
Most foam mattresses off-gas within a few days. Unroll it in a ventilated room for 24 to 48 hours before installing it in the RV.
Is $157.61 a good price?
It is the best new price found as of November 4, 2026, at eBay, with only two stores selling it new. That is near the low end for a US-made 75x36 foam mattress.
Where is the Continental Sleep 4" High-Density Foam RV Mattress Replacement 75x36 cheapest?
At Target, for $166.00, 47% off, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Continental Sleep 4" High-Density Foam RV Mattress Replacement 75x36?
