Is the Cooks 6-Quart Slow Cooker worth it at $13.49?

At $13.49 at JCPenney as of November 7, 2026, it is one of the cheapest ways to get a 6-quart ceramic slow cooker. Expect basic performance: no timer and slow heating. It suits simple batch cooking, not precise recipes.

What settings does it have?

It has a four-position control: low, high, warm and off. There is no programmable timer, so you switch it manually.

Can the pot and lid go in the dishwasher?

Yes. The ceramic crock and glass lid are dishwasher safe. Wipe the stainless steel body with a damp cloth and keep the electrical base out of water.

How many people does 6 quarts serve?

A 6-quart crock makes roughly 6 to 8 generous servings of stew, chili or soup, or fits a 5 to 6 pound roast. It is sized for families and meal prep.

Does it have a keep-warm setting?

Yes, there is a warm position, but it does not switch automatically when cooking ends. You have to turn the dial to warm yourself.

How much power does it use?

It draws 120 watts, which is low for a slow cooker. Running it on low for 8 hours uses roughly 1 kWh or less.
