Is this set really induction ready?

Yes. The base is built for induction and also works on gas, electric, ceramic and glass cooktops.

Can the pans go in the oven?

Yes, but only up to 350°F. That is too low for broiling or most baking recipes.

The coating is ceramic rather than PTFE. Ceramic nonstick generally holds up less long than PTFE, so treat it gently.

It is listed as dishwasher safe, but the care instructions also say hand wash. Hand washing keeps the ceramic coating working longer.

It includes frying pans, saucepans and a 5-quart stock pot with vented lids. There is no canner.

If you want nonstick release and induction support at a modest price, yes. If you need high-heat oven use, stainless is the better pick.
