Our take on the Coop Sleep Goods Original Adjustable Travel & Camping Pillow

The Coop Sleep Goods Original Adjustable Travel & Camping Pillow is a shredded memory-foam-and-microfiber pillow sized 19 by 13 inches that compresses to about 6 inches for packing. You unzip the liner and remove or add fill to set your own loft, and both the pillow and its Lulltra cover are machine washable. It is GREENGUARD Gold and CertiPUR-US certified, so the foam is low-emission and made without certain harmful chemicals. It is a niche travel pillow rather than a full-size bed pillow, and the 4.7-star average from 368 ratings puts it among the better-reviewed options in its category.

Questions and answers

Is the Coop travel pillow worth it over an inflatable?
If you want real foam support and a washable cover, yes. It costs more and packs larger than an inflatable, so ultralight backpackers may still prefer air.
How do I adjust the firmness?
Unzip the liner and remove shredded fill for a lower, softer pillow, or add it back for more height. Store the extra fill in the bag it ships with.
Can I wash the whole pillow?
Yes. Both the pillow and the outer Lulltra cover are machine washable. Follow the care tag and dry thoroughly before repacking.
How small does it pack?
It measures 19 by 13 inches uncompressed and about 6 inches compressed. That fits a duffel or car seat well but is large for a small daypack.
Is it good for side sleepers?
It can be, because you can add fill for more loft. Side sleepers usually want it fuller; back sleepers often remove some fill.
What certifications does the foam have?
It is GREENGUARD Gold and CertiPUR-US certified, meaning low emissions and foam made without certain restricted chemicals.
What do buyers say about the Coop Sleep Goods Original Adjustable Travel & Camping Pillow?
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 368 ratings.
