Our take on the Corsa Performance CORSA PERF EXHAUST 05-10 WK 4.7L

This is a full cat-back exhaust from Corsa Performance for 2005–2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee models with the 4.7L V8. It uses 3-inch 304 stainless steel piping, dual center exit with 4-inch Pro-Series tips, and is 50-state emissions legal. Corsa's RSC (Reflective Sound Cancellation) design is the main draw: it cuts cabin drone at cruise while opening up sound under throttle. It carries a limited lifetime warranty and is built in Berea, Ohio. No current price was provided, so check live store comparisons before buying.

Best for4.7L V8 Grand Cherokee owners wanting more sound without highway droneBuyers who plan to keep the vehicle long-term and want stainless durabilityOwners in emissions-restricted states who need 50-state legal parts
DIY installers comfortable with a 1–2 hour bolt-on job
Pros
  • 304 stainless steel resists rust in salt-belt winters
  • RSC design targets drone, the main complaint with cheap cat-backs
  • 50-state emissions legal, so no smog-check headaches
  • Limited lifetime warranty backs the tubing and welds
  • Dual center exit with 4-inch tips gives a clean rear look
  • Made in the USA (Berea, Ohio)
Cons
  • Fits only the 4.7L V8 Grand Cherokee, not the 5.7L Hemi or 3.7L V6
  • Dual center exit may require bumper or valance trimming on some trims
  • Noticeably louder than stock at cold start and under load
  • Premium stainless pricing versus aluminized or 409 systems

What reviewers say

Corsa cat-backs are generally well regarded by Grand Cherokee owners for build quality and for keeping the cabin quiet at highway speed while sounding aggressive at wide-open throttle. Fitment complaints and volume at cold start come up, but long-term corrosion reports are rare.

Pros
  • Quiet at cruise, loud when you want it
  • Holds up well after several winters
  • Clean welds and solid hardware
Cons
  • Install can need trimming on some rear bumpers
  • Cold-start volume is loud for early-morning neighbors
  • Costs more than budget cat-backs

Questions and answers

Will this fit my 2005–2010 Grand Cherokee?
It fits models with the 4.7L V8 only. It does not fit the 5.7L Hemi or 3.7L V6, and it is not listed for the later WK2 generation.
Is it legal in California and other emissions states?
Yes. Corsa lists it as 50-state emissions legal, so it should pass smog checks in CARB states, though local inspectors still have final say.
How loud is it compared to stock?
Louder at cold start and under hard throttle, but Corsa's RSC design keeps highway cruising close to stock. It is not a straight-pipe setup.
Can I install it myself?
Corsa rates it a Level 2 intermediate job at 1–2 hours. It bolts on with hand tools, but expect to trim the rear bumper on some trims for the dual center exit.
What is the warranty?
A limited lifetime warranty covers the 304 stainless system. Keep your purchase receipt for any claim.
When is the best time to buy?
Exhaust prices move less than electronics. Compare across stores and watch for seasonal sales events; check the price history before buying.
