Is this mower worth it?

It can be for a small, flat lawn that you mow often. If your grass grows tall between cuts or your yard is large, a powered mower will save you time and frustration.

How often do I need to mow with a reel mower?

About once a week, and more often in spring. Reel mowers cut best when you remove no more than about a third of the grass height at a time.

What cutting height does it offer?

Six settings from 0.6 to 1.6 inches. That is on the short side, so check that it matches the height you want for your grass type.

Does it come with a grass catcher?

Yes, a grass catcher bag is included. Some owners also let clippings drop, which returns nutrients to the lawn.

How much assembly is required?

You assemble it yourself out of the box, mainly attaching the handle and catcher. Expect roughly half an hour with basic tools.

Manual mowers usually drop in price in late summer and early fall as stores clear seasonal stock. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.
