Our take on the Costway 7 ft Artificial Christmas Tree with PVC Branch Tips and 700 LED Lights

The Costway 7 ft Artificial Christmas Tree is a pre-lit pine with PVC branch tips and 700 built-in LED lights, sold with a metal tree stand. It is a traditional full-shape floor tree for indoor use, and the lights run on household power with no batteries. Assembly is adult work with tools provided, and the branches need fluffing out of the box. It is a budget-priced option in the 7-foot pre-lit class; check the current store price against other 7-foot pre-lit trees before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Costway 7 ft pre-lit tree worth it?
For a budget 7-foot pre-lit tree, yes, if you want lights built in and a full PVC shape. Expect to spend time shaping branches and accept a less realistic look than pricier PE trees.
How many lights does it have, and are they LED?
It has 700 LED lights, pre-strung on the tree. LEDs use little power and last far longer than incandescent bulbs.
What ceiling height do I need for a 7-foot tree?
Plan for at least 8-foot ceilings. A 7-foot tree plus a topper needs roughly a foot of clearance above it.
Does it come with a stand?
Yes, a tree stand is included. You still need to assemble the tree and set it in the stand, which requires adult assembly with tools provided.
Can I use it outdoors?
No, it is rated for indoor use only. Keep it out of rain, snow and direct sun.
When is it cheapest?
Pre-lit trees usually drop in price in late November and again right after Christmas. Check the price history before buying in early December.
