Is the COWSAR 1-Cup Espresso Machine worth it?

It suits buyers who want a tiny, cheap espresso maker for occasional shots. If you want real espresso pressure and crema, a pump machine in the 1,000 W range is a better spend.

Does 150 W make real espresso?

Probably not true 9-bar espresso. At 150 W it likely produces a strong, concentrated coffee rather than a full-pressure shot with thick crema. Manage expectations.

How much counter space does it need?

The unit is 2.87 in. wide, so it fits almost anywhere. Leave room above and in front for the cup and for steam to escape.

Does it need paper filters?

No. The listing says no filter is used, so it brews directly. That also means you cannot switch to drip-style coffee.

What comes in the box?

The listing does not detail included accessories. Check the store page for the portafilter, scoop or cup before ordering.

Our take on the COWSAR 1-Cup White Espresso Machine

The COWSAR 1-Cup White Espresso Machine is a compact single-serve espresso maker aimed at small kitchens, dorms and desks. It is only 2.87 inches wide and rated at 150 W, which is very low for an espresso machine and suggests it is a simple pump or steam-driven unit rather than a full-pressure brewer. It takes no filter and brews one espresso at a time. No current price was provided, so check the store listing for the latest figure before buying.
