Is the 2.0Ah pack worth it over the 4.0Ah?

For drills, drivers and small trimmers, yes: it is lighter and cheaper. For circular saws, grinders or long trimming sessions, the 4.0Ah pack runs roughly twice as long per charge and is the better buy.

Will it fit my older Craftsman 19.2V tools?

No. It fits only the V20 line of tools and chargers. Older 19.2V ni-cad tools and the V60 line use different connections.

Does it come with a charger?

No. This is the battery only. You need a V20 charger, which comes with most V20 kits.

How long does a charge last in storage?

Craftsman says self-discharge is virtually nil, and owners report packs holding most of a charge after months on the shelf. Store it away from heat and recharge before heavy use.

It is $43.00 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, near the bottom of its recent range. Two-packs and kit bundles often beat the single-pack price per amp-hour during holiday sales.
