Is the Craftsman V20 4-tool kit worth it?

At $159.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get four cordless tools, two batteries and a charger. It suits light home and construction work; heavy daily use calls for brushless tools.

Is this kit brushless?

No. The listing describes a brushed motor, despite the brushless wording in the product name. Brushed motors are cheaper but less efficient and shorter-lived than brushless ones.

What tools are in the box?

Four 20V tools covering drilling, fastening and cutting, plus two lithium-ion batteries, a charger, accessories and a soft storage bag.

Do the batteries fit other Craftsman tools?

Yes. The batteries use Craftsman's V20 20V platform, so they work with other V20 cordless tools and chargers.

Our take on the Craftsman V20 Brushless Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit

A four-piece 20V cordless kit from Craftsman aimed at general construction and home repair: drill, impact driver and two cutting tools, with two lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a soft bag. The impact driver is rated at 3,100 BPM, and the assembled kit weighs about 15 lbs. The best new price is $159.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new. That is a low entry point for a four-tool kit with two batteries, though it sits in Craftsman's value line rather than its premium brushless range.
