Is the Crayola Light-Up Tracing Pad worth it?

For a young child who likes tracing, yes. It is simple, bright and portable, and at $20.24 at Blain's Farm & Fleet as of November 7, 2026 it costs less than most light boxes.

What comes in the box?

The pad comes with a starter assortment of art supplies and access to Crayola's online picture library. Paper and batteries are not always included, so check the pack before buying.

Does it need batteries?

Yes, it runs on batteries rather than a plug. Buy rechargeable batteries if it will be used often, since owners report short battery life.

How big is the drawing area?

The pad is about the size of a thin tablet, so the lit area fits standard paper but not large sheets. It suits kids' drawings rather than full-page art projects.

Can you get more tracing pictures?

Yes. You can download hundreds of pictures from Crayola's website and print them to trace. That requires a computer, a printer and internet access.

When is the price lowest?

Prices on kids' art supplies usually dip during back-to-school and holiday sales. The current $20.24 at Blain's Farm & Fleet as of November 7, 2026 is already near the low end of its range.
