Our take on the Crunch CS65C 6.5" 300-Watt 2-Way Component CS Speaker System

The Crunch CS65C is a 2-way 6.5-inch component speaker set: a woofer with a silver alpha-cellulose poly cone plus a separate Neo Mylar soft dome tweeter, each with its own crossover. Crunch rates it at 150W RMS and 300W peak, 4 ohm, 88 dB sensitivity, with a shallow 2.12-inch mounting depth that fits many stock door locations. At $29.58 at Explosive Powersports as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the bottom of its recent range, well under the typical $40 to $60 most stores charge for a set.

Questions and answers

Is the Crunch CS65C worth it at $29.58?
At $29.58 at Explosive Powersports as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest component sets you can buy. It makes sense as a stock-speaker replacement, not as a foundation for a high-power system.
Do I get one speaker or a pair?
The listing describes it as sold as a single unit. Confirm the quantity before ordering, since most component sets ship as a pair and a single speaker will not cover both doors.
Will it fit my car's factory locations?
The 2.12-inch mounting depth is shallow enough for many stock 6.5-inch openings, and the tweeter can be surface or flush mounted. Measure your door depth and speaker cutout first.
Do I need an amplifier?
No. At 88 dB sensitivity and 4 ohm, it runs off most head units. An amp of up to 150W RMS per channel will get more out of it, but the gains are limited at this price point.
What is in the box?
You get the woofer, the soft dome tweeter, and mounting hardware. Wiring, crossovers and adapters are not clearly listed, so plan on buying speaker wire and possibly adapters separately.
When is it cheapest?
The current $29.58 is already near the low end of its recent range. Prices across the 7 stores that carry it vary, so compare before buying.
Where is the Crunch CS65C 6.5" 300-Watt 2-Way Component CS Speaker System cheapest?
