Is this ring light bright enough for YouTube videos?

Probably not for a main key light. Its rated output is only 10 lm, which is low for a 13-inch ring; expect it to work best in a dark room close to the face.

Does it need to be plugged in?

Yes. It is USB-powered with no built-in battery, so it needs a charger, laptop or power bank running the whole time.

What comes in the box?

The 13-inch ring light, an extendable tripod stand, a phone holder and a wireless remote.

How tall does the tripod go?

About 43.3 inches at full extension, and it can also be used lower as a desk light.

Is $27.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $27.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Given the 2.1 rating, compare with better-reviewed ring lights before buying.

Can I control the colors from across the room?

Yes, the included wireless remote changes brightness and color modes.
