Our take on the Cuisinart 10-Piece Ceramic Coated Knife Set

This is a 10-piece Cuisinart knife set with ceramic-coated blades, sold as a starter block set for a home kitchen. The ceramic coating is the selling point: it is meant to resist sticking and staining on acidic foods, but it is a coating, not a ceramic blade, so it will not hold an edge like forged steel. The best new price is $31.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, at the top of a very short recorded range that dipped to $12.00 on November 2, 2026.

Questions and answers

Is this set worth $31.99?
At $31.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a full 10-piece set, but it is the highest price recorded since November 2, 2026. If you can wait, watch for a drop toward the $12.00 low seen on November 2, 2026.
Are the blades actually ceramic?
No. The blades are steel with a ceramic coating, which resists sticking and staining but does not give the hardness of a true ceramic blade. Expect to hone them more often than forged steel knives.
Can I put these knives in the dishwasher?
Hand washing is the safer choice. Dishwasher heat and detergent can dull the edge and break down the ceramic coating over time.
What comes in the 10-piece set?
The set is a 10-piece assortment of Cuisinart knives, typically including a chef's knife, slicer, bread knife, utility knife, paring knife and kitchen shears or a similar mix. Check the listing for the exact pieces before buying.
How does it compare with a forged steel set?
A forged steel set costs more but holds an edge longer and handles heavy chopping. This set suits light everyday cutting and buyers who want a complete set at a low price.
When is the best time to buy?
The recorded low is $12.00 on November 2, 2026, against $31.99 on November 4, 2026. Set a price alert and buy below $25 if you are not in a hurry.
