Our take on the CycleMore 16oz Mason Jars, 12 Pack Canning Jars with Metal Airtight Lids and Bands

These are 12 regular-mouth 16 oz glass Mason jars with two-piece metal lids and bands, sold as a set. They are the standard canning size for jams, pickles, sauces and dry goods, and the lids seal for water-bath canning and pantry storage. The 12-pack is the value format: the per-jar cost drops well below buying jars singly, and empty jars are reusable for years if the lids are replaced. No price was given for this listing, so compare the per-jar cost against other 12-packs before buying.

Questions and answers

Are these jars safe for water-bath canning?
Yes. 16 oz regular-mouth jars are a standard water-bath canning size for high-acid foods like jams, pickles and tomatoes. Follow a tested recipe and process time; these jars are not recommended for pressure canning large batches of low-acid food beyond standard pint use.
Can I reuse the lids?
The flat lids are meant for one sealing use; the sealing compound degrades after that. The jars and bands can be reused indefinitely, so buy replacement lids each canning season.
Do they fit standard regular-mouth lids?
Yes. These are regular-mouth jars, so standard 70 mm regular lids and bands from other brands fit. Wide-mouth lids will not.
Are they dishwasher safe?
The glass jars are dishwasher safe. Wash bands by hand and dry them promptly to slow rust, and do not leave bands on jars during long storage.
What can I store in them besides canned food?
Dry goods, spices, overnight oats, salad layers, leftovers and craft supplies. The airtight seal suits flour, sugar, coffee and grains.
When is the best time to buy a 12-pack?
Canning jars tend to be discounted in late summer and early fall, ahead of harvest season, and during holiday sales. Compare the per-jar price across 12-packs rather than the set price alone.
