Is $1,500 a good price for the Oberon 5 pair?

It is the best new price among the three stores listing them as of November 8, 2026, at Audio Advice. Dali towers rarely discount deeply, so this is close to the typical street price.

Do I need a powerful amp to drive them?

No. At 88 dB sensitivity and a nominal 6-ohm load, a receiver or integrated amp rated around 50 watts per channel is enough for most rooms.

Should I add a subwoofer?

For music in a small room, probably not. For movies or a large room, a subwoofer fills in the deepest bass the two 5.25-inch woofers cannot reach.

How do they compare with the Oberon 3 standmount?

The Oberon 5 uses the same tweeter and driver family in a floorstanding cabinet, so it plays louder and lower without stands. The Oberon 3 suits smaller rooms and tighter budgets.

A pair of Oberon 5 speakers, grilles, and floor spikes or rubber feet. Speaker cable is not included.

When are they cheapest?

Dali discounts are modest; watch for bundle deals with amps or receivers and for end-of-year sales, which tend to beat single-unit markdowns.

Our take on the Dali Oberon 5 (per pair)

The Dali Oberon 5 is a pair of slim floorstanding speakers from Dali's entry-level Oberon line. Each cabinet holds two 5.25-inch wood-fiber woofers and a 29mm soft-dome tweeter, and the pair is rated at 88 dB sensitivity with a nominal 6-ohm load, so most mid-range receivers and integrated amps can drive them. They stand about 32 inches tall and are known for a wide, room-friendly sound rather than pinpoint imaging. The best new price is $1,500 per pair at Audio Advice as of November 8, 2026, with three stores listing them new.
