Questions and answers

Is the Dell 14 with Core Ultra 7 258V worth $1,299.99?
At $1,299.99 at Newegg.com as of November 5, 2026, you get a high-resolution touchscreen, 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD in a 3.4 lb body. That is fair for the specs, though only two stores list it new, so compare both before buying.
How does the Core Ultra 7 258V compare to older Intel chips?
The 258V is a newer low-power eight-core part with better efficiency than older U-series chips. It handles office work and multitasking well but is not a substitute for a discrete GPU.
Does the battery really last 8 hours?
Dell rates it at 8 hours. Owners report shorter runtime under heavy load or high brightness, so expect closer to a workday of light use.
Is the screen good for writing and drawing?
Yes. The 14-inch panel is a 2560 x 1600 touchscreen, which suits note-taking and annotation. It does not ship with a stylus, so you would need a compatible pen.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage later?
The 32 GB of RAM is soldered on most Core Ultra 7 258V designs, so buy the capacity you need up front. The 1 TB SSD is generally replaceable.
What comes in the box?
The laptop, a power adapter and standard paperwork. A stylus and external mouse are not included.
Where is the Dell 14" FHD Plus Laptop Intel Core Ultra 7 258V cheapest?
At Newegg.com, for $1,299.99, as of our latest check.
