Is an oil-filled radiator better than a fan heater?

It is quieter and holds heat after it cycles off, but it warms a room more slowly. A fan heater gives faster heat with more noise and moving air.

Will it heat a large living room?

At 1,500W and about 5,000 BTU it suits a bedroom or medium room. Large open spaces need more output or a second unit.

Does it need oil or maintenance?

No. The oil is sealed inside, so there is nothing to fill, drain, or replace.

Can it run on a standard outlet?

Yes, on a 15A household circuit, but at 1,500W it uses most of that circuit, so avoid running another high-draw appliance on the same one.

Is it safe around kids and pets?

It has automatic shut-off, but the fins get hot, so keep it clear of curtains and small children.

When is the price lowest?

Space heaters usually drop in late winter and spring clearance. The best new price was $159.95 at De'Longhi as of November 8, 2026.
