Is this kit worth it over buying the tools separately?

Usually yes when the kit is discounted, since two batteries and a charger add up quickly on their own. Check the bare-tool prices for the drill and driver you actually need before deciding.

Do the batteries fit other DeWalt 20V MAX tools?

Yes. The 20V MAX batteries in this kit work across DeWalt's 20V MAX line, including bare tools sold without batteries.

Is the circular saw full size?

No. It is a compact saw suited to trim and light framing, not a replacement for a full-size 7-1/4-inch circular saw.

What comes in the box?

Four tools, two 20V MAX lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a tool bag.

When is the kit cheapest?

Combo kits see the deepest discounts around Black Friday, Father's Day and end-of-season tool promotions. Watch the price history rather than buying at list.

Our take on the DeWALT 18V XR 4pcs. Brushless Combo Kit

A four-piece cordless kit built around DeWalt's 20V MAX battery platform, with brushless motors for longer runtime and cooler running than brushed tools. The set covers drilling and driving, fastening, cutting and lighting from one battery family. It ships with two lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a tool bag. Pricing for the kit moves with promotions, so compare the bundled price against buying the bare tools and batteries separately.
