Our take on the DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Combo Kit and Brushless Reciprocating Saw with Battery and Charger

This is a five-piece DeWalt 20V MAX cordless kit built around brushless tools, including a reciprocating saw, with a lithium-ion battery and charger included. Brushless motors run cooler and last longer than brushed ones, and the shared 20V MAX battery platform covers over 100 DeWalt tools. At $499 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no lower store to compare against right now.

Pros

  • Batteries and charger included, so it works out of the box
  • Large 20V MAX lineup makes adding bare tools cheap later
Cons
  • Kit batteries are usually compact, not the biggest capacity
  • Only one new price listed at $499, so no discount to compare
  • Recip saw is heavy for overhead work
  • No premium tools like a circular saw with a larger blade in some kits
