Our take on the DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Combo Kit with 1/2 in. Impact Wrench, FLEXVOLT 6Ah, 20V 6Ah and 4Ah Batteries

A three-piece DeWalt 20V MAX cordless kit built around a 1/2 in. impact wrench, bundled with a FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery, a 20V 6Ah battery and a 20V 4Ah battery. The FLEXVOLT pack runs in 20V tools and steps up to 60V in FlexVolt tools, so the kit covers both lines. It is aimed at buyers who want one wrench plus spare batteries rather than a drill-and-driver starter set. At $399.00 at Home Depot as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen since October 31, 2026, so there is no cheaper recent point to wait for.

Pros
  • 1/2 in. impact wrench handles lug nuts and heavy fasteners
  • FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery works in 20V tools and 60V FlexVolt tools
  • Three batteries included, so downtime between charges is short
  • Shares the 20V MAX battery platform with the rest of the line
Cons
  • Only one power tool in the kit; the rest is batteries and a charger
  • No drill, driver or saw, so it is not a full starter set
  • FLEXVOLT packs are heavier than compact 20V batteries
  • $399.00 is the only price seen, so there is no discount history to judge

What reviewers say

Owners of DeWalt 20V impact wrenches generally rate the power and battery sharing highly, and FLEXVOLT packs are valued for running across both voltage lines. The common complaint about battery-heavy kits is the upfront cost and the weight of the larger packs.

Pros
  • Impact wrench torque for lug nuts and suspension bolts
  • Batteries interchange with existing 20V MAX tools
  • FLEXVOLT pack adds runtime and 60V capability
Cons
  • Kit price is high for a single tool
  • Large batteries make the wrench nose-heavy
  • Charger is slow for three packs

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it over buying the impact wrench alone?
If you need spare batteries anyway, the bundle is the cheaper route: a bare wrench plus a FLEXVOLT 6Ah pack costs close to the kit price on its own. If you already have plenty of 20V batteries, buy the bare tool.
Will the FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery work in my other DeWalt 20V tools?
Yes. It runs as a 20V pack in 20V MAX tools and delivers 60V in FlexVolt tools. It is larger and heavier than a compact 2Ah pack, so it suits high-draw tools more than tight spaces.
What comes in the box?
Three tools' worth of kit in practice: the 1/2 in. impact wrench, a FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery, a 20V 6Ah battery, a 20V 4Ah battery and a charger. Confirm the exact contents on the listing before ordering.
Is the 1/2 in. impact wrench strong enough for lug nuts?
Yes for most passenger cars and light trucks. It is a 1/2 in. drive impact wrench in the 20V MAX line, which is the size shops use for tire work. Very tight heavy-truck lugs may need a larger cordless or air tool.
When is the best time to buy this kit?
The only price seen since October 31, 2026 is $399.00 at Home Depot, so there is no recent low to wait for. DeWalt kits usually drop around Black Friday and spring tool events, so watch those windows.
Where is the DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Combo Kit with 1/2 in. Impact Wrench, FLEXVOLT 6Ah, 20V 6Ah and 4Ah Batteries cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $399.00, as of our latest check.
Is the DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Combo Kit with 1/2 in. Impact Wrench, FLEXVOLT 6Ah, 20V 6Ah and 4Ah Batteries at its lowest price?
Yes: $399.00 is the lowest price we've seen for it since October 31.
