- Is this kit worth it over buying tools separately?
- At $599 at Ace Hardware as of November 3, the kit undercuts buying six brushless tools, two batteries, a charger and a ToughSystem case individually. It is worth it if you need most of the included tools.
- How does it compare with DeWalt's older combo kits?
- This kit uses brushless motors and ships in a ToughSystem case, while older kits often used brushed motors and soft bags. The brushless tools run longer per charge and need less maintenance.
- How long do the two batteries last?
- Runtime depends on the tool. Drilling and driving last hours per charge, while the reciprocating saw and sander drain batteries faster. Two batteries are enough for most light to medium jobs, but heavy users should add a third.
- What is in the box?
- You get six 20V MAX tools, two lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a ToughSystem case. Bits and blades are generally not included.
- When is the price lowest?
- Combo kits like this drop most during Black Friday and spring contractor promotions. The recent range has been about $549 to $699, so $599 is a fair price but not the floor.
- Do the batteries fit other DeWalt tools?
- Yes. The 20V MAX batteries work with the full DeWalt 20V MAX line, including drills, impact drivers, saws and outdoor tools.
- What do buyers say about the DeWalt 20V MAX ToughSystem 6-Tool Cordless Combo Kit?
- Rated 4.4 out of 5 from 208 ratings.
- Where can I buy the DeWalt 20V MAX ToughSystem 6-Tool Cordless Combo Kit?
- 2 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, Home Depot.
