Our take on the DeWalt 20V MAX XR Blower Kit dcbl724w1

The DeWalt DCBL724W1 is a cordless handheld leaf blower in DeWalt's 20V MAX XR line, built around a brushless motor that moves up to 450 CFM and 125 mph with the concentrator nozzle attached. It runs on DeWalt's 20V batteries, so anyone already on that platform can share packs with their drills and saws. It is a kit, so a battery and charger come in the box. The best new price is $299.99 at Fleet Farm as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.

Pros
  • 450 CFM and 125 mph handle wet leaves and heavier debris
  • Brushless motor for longer runtime and motor life
  • Quiet for its class at 62 dB(A)
  • Shares 20V MAX batteries with other DeWalt tools
  • Kit includes a battery, so it works out of the box
Cons
  • $299.99 is high for a handheld blower, even with a battery
  • Only one store lists it new, so price shopping is limited
  • No backpack or shoulder strap, so long jobs tire your arm
  • Runtime depends on which 20V pack you use; big yards need spares

Questions and answers

Is the DeWalt DCBL724W1 worth $299.99?
If you already own DeWalt 20V batteries, the kit price is easier to justify because the packs work across your tools. At $299.99 from Fleet Farm as of November 3, 2026, it is priced like a premium cordless blower, so compare it against bare-tool options if you have batteries already.
Does the kit include a battery and charger?
Yes. It is sold as a kit with a 20V MAX battery included. Check the listing for whether a charger is in the box, since DeWalt kit contents vary by model.
How does it compare to a gas blower?
It reaches 450 CFM and 125 mph, which covers most yard cleanup, and at 62 dB(A) it is much quieter than gas. It will not match the raw power or runtime of a large backpack gas blower on big properties.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on the pack size and speed setting. Expect the longest run on low speed and much shorter runs at full 450 CFM, so keep a spare 20V battery for larger yards.
Can I use my existing DeWalt 20V batteries?
Yes. It runs on DeWalt 20V MAX packs, including the XR line, so batteries from your drill or saw will work.
When is it cheapest?
Only one store lists it new at $299.99 as of November 3, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to wait for. DeWalt tools often drop during holiday sales, so watch for kit promotions.
Where is the DeWalt 20V MAX XR Blower Kit dcbl724w1 cheapest?
At Fleet Farm, for $299.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the DeWalt 20V MAX XR Blower Kit dcbl724w1?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 34 ratings.
Where can I buy the DeWalt 20V MAX XR Blower Kit dcbl724w1?
13 stores we checked sell it, including Fleet Farm, eBay, Ace Hardware, Acme Tools, DK Hardware.
