Is the DeWalt 20V MAX XR Jig Saw worth it?

Yes, if you already own DeWalt 20V MAX batteries. The brushless motor and tool-free blade changes make it a strong cordless jigsaw, but at $124.99 at Woot as of November 3, 2026 it is near its recent high, so waiting for a drop toward the $99.99 low seen on November 4, 2026 could pay off.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

No. It is a bare tool, so you need a 20V MAX battery and charger, sold separately.

How thick wood can it cut?

Up to 2 inches of wood at 90 degrees, and it bevels to 45 degrees for angled cuts.

How does it compare to the older DeWalt DCS331?

The DCS334 adds a brushless motor, tool-free blade changes and a keyless bevel shoe over the older brushed DCS331. It is the better pick for frequent use.

Is it good for cutting curves and cutouts?

Yes. Variable speed up to 3,000 OPM and a lock-on switch let you control curve cuts in plywood, laminate and countertops.

Prices swing; the lowest daily price recently was $99.99 on November 4, 2026, against $124.99 at Woot on November 3, 2026. Watch for holiday and bare-tool sales.
