Is this drill worth it?

Yes for most home and shop work. The brushless motor and 1/2 in. chuck cover drilling and driving, and it uses DeWalt 20V batteries you may already own.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

It depends on the kit. Many DeWalt 20V drills sell as bare tools, so confirm the listing includes a battery and charger before buying.

How does it compare with the brushed DeWalt 20V drill?

The brushless version runs longer per charge and lasts longer. It costs more, so the brushed model makes sense only for occasional use.

What bits fit the chuck?

The 1/2 in. keyless chuck takes round and hex shank bits up to 1/2 in., including standard drill bits and driver bits.

When is the price lowest?

DeWalt drills often drop during holiday sales and spring tool events. At $185.28 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, compare against kit bundles before buying.

Our take on the DeWalt Cordless Drill 1/2 in. 20V

A 20V brushless cordless drill with a 1/2 in. keyless chuck and variable-speed trigger. Brushless motors run cooler and last longer than brushed ones, and the 1/2 in. chuck takes standard bits. The best new price is $185.28 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, with only one store listing it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.
