Is the DEWALT DW331K worth it?

For 230 V buyers who cut curves and cutouts regularly, yes. The 6.5 amp motor and 130 mm wood capacity cover most trim and cabinet work. If you need cordless freedom, a battery jig saw is the better fit.

Can I use this saw in the US?

No, not on standard US outlets. It is a 230 V tool, so it needs a 220–240 V supply or a suitable step-up transformer.

What blades does it take?

It uses T-shank jig saw blades, which are widely available in wood, metal and laminate types. Blade changes are tool-free.

How thick can it cut?

Up to 130 mm in wood and 45-degree bevels for angled cuts. Capacity in metal and plastic is lower and depends on the blade.

Is it better than a cordless jig saw?

It gives constant power with no battery to charge or replace, which suits bench and shop work. A cordless saw wins on ladders and in tight spots where a cord gets in the way.

When is the price lowest?

Only one new price is listed: $189.00 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026. Watch for seasonal tool promotions, since there is no price history to point to a cheaper period.

Our take on the DEWALT Jig Saw, Top Handle, 6.5 Amp, Corded (DW331K)

The DEWALT DW331K is a corded top-handle jig saw with a 6.5 amp motor (445 W output) and a variable 0–3,100 strokes per minute. It cuts up to 130 mm in wood, bevels to 45 degrees and takes standard T-shank blades. It is a 230 V tool, so it suits 220–240 V markets, not US 120 V outlets. At $189.00 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, it sits at its only listed new price, so there is no recent range to compare against.
