Questions and answers

Is the DeWalt coil siding nailer worth it?
For regular siding and fencing work with an air compressor, yes. It sets ring-shank nails consistently and is lighter than many coil nailers. For occasional jobs, a strip nailer or a battery framing nailer may be cheaper and simpler.
What nails does it use?
It takes 15-degree wire-collated coil siding nails with a 0.090 in shank and ring shank, 1-3/4 in long. Ring shanks hold better in siding and fencing than smooth shanks.
What compressor do I need?
It needs at least 70 PSI and uses 3.3 SCFM at 90 PSI. A small pancake compressor can run it slowly; a 4 to 6 gallon compressor keeps up better on long runs.
Can it drive fiber cement siding?
Yes, DeWalt lists fiber cement siding among suitable materials. Use the tool-free depth adjustment so nails sit flush without over-driving and cracking the board.
Does it come with nails?
This listing pairs the nailer with 2 in metal coil ring-shank nails. Check the box contents at the store, since bundles vary.
When is the price lowest?
The best new price found is $329.00 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026. Siding nailers often drop during spring and fall building-season sales, so watch for holiday promotions.
Where is the DeWalt Pneumatic 15-Degree Coil Siding Nailer with 2 in. Metal Coil Ring Shank Nails cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $329.00, as of our latest check.
